Mane steps out from Salah’s Shadow to Lead Liverpool’s Double Charge

According to one of the Jamaica’s Reggae Music Freedom Fighters Peter Tosh in one of his numerous hit songs “No matter Your Nationality As Long as you are a black man you are an African”. This song plays out between two African brothers playing for money and honour with Liverpool Football Club of England but unfortunately or fortunately may be these African brothers  Mohamed Sallah and Sadio Mane were just emerging if any one of them scores it is to the glory of the Africa Nation as a result Mane has grown used to playing second fiddle to Mohamed Sallah in the two seasons since the latter joined the Senegalese at Liverpool.

However, the fact Jurgen Klopp’s men top the Premier League in their quest to end a 29-year wait to win the title and face Porto in the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final at Anfield on Tuesday, is largely thanks to Mane.

Mohammed Sallah has really been doing Africa proud as he scores very often but for some time now Mohammed Sallah has not been scoring goals which one could say Sallah has dried up in an eight-game drought prior to Friday’s 3-1 win at Southampton, Mane assumed the mantle as chief goal getter with 11 in his last 13 Liverpool appearances taking his tally for the season to 20. One thing is certain nothing last for ever it was the turn of Mohammed Sallah scoring for Liverpool and now Sadio Mane’s time is now so as far as Liverpool is winning there is nothing to worryabout for these two African brothers playing for Liverpool Football Club of England making Africa and Liverpool proud of their skills.
